History of the Award
The Master Plumbers Apprentices Limited prides itself in the further education of plumbing apprentices who are the future of the Plumbing Industry.
The Clarrie Wymer Awards for Excellence in Plumbing, Draining and Gasfitting were first presented in 1988 to acknowledge the most outstanding MPAL apprentice each year from each apprenticeship stage and especially to commend the most outstanding 3rd year on completing their Plumbing Trade Course – the Clarrie Wymer Award.
The Awards were established to encourage the pursuit of excellence amongst our MPAL Apprentices and to recognise and acknowledge the achievement of that excellence. In doing so we perpetuate Clarrie Wymer.
